Creating perfect harmony between high-fidelity, streaming and modern technologies, the new amplifiers Cambridge EVO 150 and Cambridge EVO 75 are ultra-versatile and feature the most recent advances in wireless connectivity and listening. Ultra-modern amplifiers with the ambitious goal of bringing hi-fi to new horizons.

The amplifiers of the Cambridge Evo range aim to take hi-fi to new horizons thanks to the integration of the most recent advances in connectivity and streaming.

Cambridge Evo: an ambitious design

The Cambridge Evo range is synonymous with evolution, transformation and improvement. For Cambridge Audio, a famous English brand since 1968 ( all about the Cambridge Audio brand ), this evolution consists of designing hi-fi devices at the cutting edge of technology, with uncompromising design and performance. From these criteria were born the Cambridge EVO 150 and Cambridge EVO 75, two integrated all-in-one amplifiers. They have a lot in common, including a timeless and ambitious design. These two amplifiers thus adopt a metal frame 89mm high, 352mm deep and with an atypical width of 350mm for the Cambridge Evo 150 and of 317mm for the EVO 75. The chassis rests on an inverted pyramid base which make the amplifiers look like they are floating in the air and are far more elegant than the usual massive feet. The front of the Cambridge Evo 150 and Cambridge EVO 75 amps is covered with a very large 6.8″ diagonal color screen, showing the selected source, as well as the cover art and information of the tracks being played.

To ensure an optimal adaptation in any interior, the sides of these two amplifiers of the Cambridge Evo range are customizable. To do this, the Cambridge EVO 150 and Cambridge EVO 75 are each accompanied by two pairs of panels: a pair in corrugated black metal giving it a contemporary and very discreet appearance and a pair in oak-colored wood for a decidedly more vintage style.

The side pannels of the Cambridge Evo 150 and EVO 75 amps can be personalized using the two removable plates supplied.

Cambridge Evo: a comprehensive network player

Besides the customizable design, these two amplifiers of the Cambridge Evo range also share the same network drive. It is ultra complete and is capable of playing all your dematerialized music. To do this, it relies on the Cambridge StreamMagic mobile application, which offers access to music shared on the local network in DLNA / UPnP and is Roon Ready. It also offers access to countless web radios, as well as the online music services Qobuz (24 bits / 192 kHz), Tidal (MQA) and Spotify Connect.

The Cambridge Evo range amps can play all your music streamed via AirPlay 2, DLNA, Chromecast and Bluetooth aptX HD.

Music streaming on Cambridge Evo 150 and EVO 75 amplifiers can also be done using AirPlay 2 and Chromecast. These two protocols also allow the insertion of these amplifiers in a group of speakers or devices compatible with one of these technologies. Finally, streaming from a smartphone, tablet or computer can also be done in Bluetooth aptX HD.

Cambridge Evo: similarities, but not only

The differences between the Cambridge Evo 150 and Cambridge Evo 75 start showing as soon as the amplifiers are activated. The range of connectors at the back are more or less comprehensive, but remains very well supplied on both models. Among the common inputs, the HDMI ARC input confirms the contemporary character of these amplifiers by allowing them to be associated with a compatible television or video projector in order to retrieve the sound track of the program viewed. There are also optical inputs (two for the Cambridge Evo 150 and one for the Cambridge Evo 75), a coaxial input and an RCA input. The Cambridge Evo 150 goes even further, with the addition of a balanced XLR input and a phono input with ground connector to connect a turntable.
